Today, the management of the Institute of Legal Practice and Development (ILPD) engaged with students from the Faculty of Law at UNILAK in an informative session aimed at raising awareness about the various programs offered by the institute. The event served as a crucial platform to guide aspiring legal professionals on the mandatory steps required to enter the legal profession.
ILPD, a vital institution in the country’s legal education landscape, offers specialized training to law graduates, equipping them with the practical skills necessary to become legal practitioners. Completion of ILPD programs is a compulsory requirement for all law graduates seeking to qualify for legal practice.
The sensitization session was conducted in two parts. The daytime session was led by Dr. Yves Sezirahiga, the Vice Rector in charge of academics at ILPD, who provided students with an in-depth understanding of the institute’s programs, curriculum, and career prospects available upon completion. He emphasized the importance of practical legal training in bridging the gap between academic knowledge and professional practice.
The evening session is set to be conducted by Dr. Aime Muyombano, the Rector of ILPD, who will further elaborate on the institute’s role in shaping competent legal practitioners and address any questions from students regarding enrollment and expectations.
