RESEARCH AND CONSULTANCY​

Dr. Nsanzumukiza Martin Vincent is an expert in environmental assessment, holding the academic rank of lecturer. He earned his PhD in environmental engineering from the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in affiliation with the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences (2014–2018). Prior to this, he obtained a Master’s degree in environmental sciences and engineering from the University of Science and Technology Beijing (2011–2014). His educational background also includes a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with Education and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from the University of Rwanda, College of Education (2006–2010).

He has amassed over nine years of experience in environmental assessment and developmental projects and five years of teaching at higher learning institutions. He has an impressive track record of publishing more than 15 research articles in international peer-reviewed journals. He possesses substantial experience in peer-reviewing articles for some of the most renowned academic journals. He has actively participated in numerous national and international conferences, workshops, and professional training sessions, including courses on water quality at the CAS-TWAS Centre of Excellence for Water and Environment (CEWE).

He is a member of the Association of Professional Environmental Practitioners (RAPEP) and holds a license as an associate expert (Reg. no: RAPEP/EA/149). His research interests primarily revolve around Water Pollution Control Technology, focusing on Membrane Technology for Water and Wastewater Treatment, Environmental Assessment, Treatment of Organic Solid Wastes, Resource Recovery, Anaerobic Digestion, and River Restoration, among other areas.

Currently, he serves as the Director of Research and Consultancy at the University of Lay Adventists of Kigali (UNILAK).
