UNILAK mourns the loss of co-founder Pastor Ezra Mpyisi

UNILAK mourns the passing of Pastor Ezra Mpyisi, one of its founders, who breathed his last on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the age of 102.

Pastor Ezra, known for his unwavering commitment to education and spirituality, played a pivotal role in shaping the university’s vision and values.

In a  farewell ceremony held at UNILAK on Saturday, February 3, 2024, Professor Ngamije Jean, the Vice Chancellor of UNILAK recounted the invaluable contributions of Pastor Ezra, highlighting not only his role as a co-founder but also as a mentor. The late Pastor Ezra was remembered for his unwavering commitment to the university’s growth and success.

“He was not just a co-founder; he was a guiding light, offering love, wisdom, and invaluable advice to the university’s leaders,” Prof Ngamije expressed.

As the university mourns, thoughts and prayers are extended to Pastor Ezra’s family during this challenging period.
