In a
significant step towards promoting professional development and career advancement
among its students; on July 26th, 2023 UNILAK entered in partnership with the
renowned Article 26 Organization.
The
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony took place at the university
campus, and it is expected to create new avenues for students seeking
high-quality training and internationally recognized certifications.
The
Article 26 Organization, known for its expertise in providing top-notch
training programs, will offer sponsored access to certifications in Prince2,
Scrum, and ITIL to eligible students of UNILAK. These certifications are highly
considered in the industry and will undoubtedly booster the employability of
the graduates.
One of
the key highlights of the collaboration is the emphasis on career development
mentorship. Article 26 Organization aims to provide personalized guidance and
support to students, assisting them in making informed career choices and
charting a successful professional path. This mentorship program is designed to
bridge the gap between academia and industry demands, equipping students with
the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their chosen fields.
Moreover,
the partnership will introduce the “Train the Trainer” model, an
innovative approach that allows learners to become certified instructors. This
initiative will enable students who complete the training programs to give back
to their academic community by becoming qualified trainers themselves. By
becoming instructors, students can impart their knowledge and expertise to
future batches of learners, fostering a culture of continuous learning and
knowledge sharing within the university.
All
training programs offered through this collaboration will be conducted by
Maxpert Trainers, renowned experts in their respective fields. Maxpert Trainers
are widely recognized for their practical insights and real-world experience,
making the learning experience highly valuable and industry-relevant.
During
the MoU signing ceremony, representatives from both UNILAK and Article 26
Organization expressed their enthusiasm for the partnership. They highlighted
the mutual benefits it would bring and its potential to empower students with
skills that are in high demand in the job market.
Dr.
Emmanuel Hakizimana, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor
for Academics and Research at UNILAK, stated, “We are excited to join
hands with Article 26 Organization in this initiative to provide our students
with access to world-class training and certifications. This collaboration
aligns with our mission to prepare our students for successful careers and
enables us to stay at the forefront of academic excellence.”
Ms.
Chau Ho, the manager of Article 26 Organization, remarked, “We look
forward to working closely with UNILAK and its talented students. Through this
collaboration, we aim to equip the next generation of professionals with the
skills required to thrive in a rapidly evolving job market. Together, we will
create a transformative learning experience for all participants.”
The
joint efforts of UNILAK and Article 26 Organization are set to create a
profound impact on the future of education, training, and career development
for students. This partnership opens up new opportunities for learners to excel
in their chosen fields and contribute meaningfully to their communities and
industries at large.
