UNILAK and Nyanza District trained education officials

In partnership with Nyanza District, the University of Lay Adventists of Kigali trained all education officials based in Nyanza District.

The training which took two days brought together officials in the education sectors, among them schools’ directors, head teachers, personnel in charge of education at sectors and district level and different partners in education at district level.

While opening the training, the governor of the Southern Province, Mrs Alice Kayitesi reminded the participants that a quality education is based on the promotion of ethical values, which therefore promotes a sustainable  social economic development of the citizens

In her words, the honorable Minister of Education; Dr Valentine Uwamariya who was the guest of honor; hailed the efforts of the district and all its partners in education, she urged them to work hard in order to promote quality education, to be loyal and always be accountable.

Best performers in the last year 2021-2022 were officially recognized for their best performance. Awarded secondary schools were; College Christ Roi, Groupe Scolaire Gitovu and Nyanza Technical Secondary School. In Primary schools, awarded schools  were, Saint Joseph and Groupe Scolaire Nyanza B.

The management of UNILAK and the management of Nyanza District were recognized for their initiative to train education officers as such trainings brought success in the last academic year.
