Prof. Kalu Ibe Ekpeghere Ph.D, Director of Africa Partnerships, recently paid a courtesy visit to
UNILAK to oversee the progress of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between
UNILAK and Woosong University. The agreement, inked last year, aimed at fostering a seamless
collaboration between the two institutions in staff and program exchanges, as well as in
research endeavors.
During his visit, Prof. Ekpeghere engaged in discussions with key stakeholders at UNILAK to
strategize on future initiatives to deepen the partnership between the universities.
The MoU between UNILAK and Woosong University signifies a commitment to promoting
academic excellence and fostering international cooperation in higher education. By facilitating
the exchange of faculty and students, as well as collaborative research projects, the partnership
aims to broaden the horizons of both institutions and create opportunities for cross-cultural
learning and innovation.
Prof. Ekpeghere emphasized the importance of nurturing such collaborations in advancing
educational objectives and addressing global challenges. He underscored the significance of
leveraging synergies between African and international universities to drive socio-economic
development and contribute to the advancement of knowledge on a global scale.
As both UNILAK and Woosong University continue to work towards strengthening their
partnership, they remain dedicated to realizing the shared goals outlined in the MoU. Through
sustained cooperation and mutual support, they aim to cultivate a thriving academic
community that transcends geographical boundaries and enriches the educational experience
