Dr Yusuf Hammed Agboola has almost 15 years of progressively responsible, practical and demonstrable hands-on experience as an economist with a solid background in Micro and Macro Economics, development economist. His work experiences span all research, consultancy and academic. Before his appointment at the Department of Economics at Ilorin, he was a lecturer at Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin, and the University of Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State.

Dr Yusuf is a full member of the Nigeria Economics Society, Association for Social Economics, and Several professional bodies, both Local, National, and international organisations; an Adjunct Lecturer at Crown Hill University, now OJAJA University; A visiting Lecturer at Al-Hikmah University and Ekiti State University with Affiliation with Kwara State College of Education Ilorin.

Dr Yusuf holds a PhD in International Economics from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), a Master of Science in Economics, and a bachelor’s degree of Science in Teacher Education and Economics with Second class Upper Division from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He also obtained a Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in Mathematics and Economics from Kwara State College of Education Ilorin. To his credit, he has published over 50 Journals, Conferences, workshops, and seminars at Local, National, and international levels. Dr. Yusuf has received awards, research grants, commendation letters, and scholarships across the globe. Dr. Yusuf is a consultant to the African Development Bank under the Policy Management Division, African Development Institute (ADI) of the African Development Bank (AFDB). Currently, He representing Nigeria at Regional level in Rwanda through diplomatic mission to provide education and technical support at the University of Lay Adventist, Kigali, Rwanda (UNILAK).
