Dr. Martin Vincent Nsanzumukiza, Director of Research & Consultancy at UNILAK, represented the institution at a two-day capacity building workshop on the Research Excellence Framework for Higher Education in East Africa (REFHE-EA) held in Entebbe, Uganda.
The workshop was organized by the Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA) and brought together higher education stakeholders from across the region to strengthen institutional research capacity and promote excellence in research management within East African universities.

During the workshop, participants engaged in discussions on research quality enhancement, institutional research assessment frameworks, and strategies for improving the impact and visibility of research in higher education institutions across the region.
The UNILAK participation reflects its continued commitment to advancing research excellence, fostering academic innovation, and strengthening regional collaboration in higher education. The knowledge and insights gained from the workshop are expected to contribute to enhancing the University’s research agenda and consultancy services.
