UNILAK Law Society is an organization founded by the UNILAK Law students. It started at Nyanza campus and now operating in all the campuses since October 2022. It is an academic association with the purpose of developing legal skills and knowledge of UNILAK law students and helping the community in legal problems. The society’s operations are under the supervision of UNILAK Faculty of Law.

The fundamental principles of UNILAK LSS is founded on the following fundamental principles:

• Building a society based on teamwork;
• Building a society with Punctual members in all activities of the society;
• Building a society with members who respect the responsibilities assigned to them by the society;
• Building a society which does not exclude any consented UNILAK law Student in its activities;
• Building a society respecting fundamental principles of Rwanda and UNILAK;
• Building a society that gives its members equal opportunities for participation in its activities;
• Building a society that will last forever in UNILAK. These fundamental principles are inviolable.

UNILAK LSS carries out interfaculty moot court competitions and also assists in the provision of legal services.
